Ryzen 5 Fan Issue For Gigabye Mini-itx

For example, the Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX is a sturdy motherboard but the mini-itx form-factor has little wiggle room, during install, for the off-the-shelf Ryzen 5 with fan.  The fan has a protrusion with the AMD logo that will block the DDR4 memory slots.  If one flips it 180 degrees, then it will rest upon the I/O shroud which prevents install. The fan is attached to the heat sink with four small screws.  I removed these screws and rotated the fan ninety degrees.  However, when these screws are adjusted, metal shards may fall on the motherboard causing a short-circuit.  The plastic cap prevents good access to these screws.  Perhaps it would be better to pry off the cap and cut the protruding fingers from under the AMD logo. The cap is non functional and can be discarded.
